Recore was brought in to repair 20 problem areas across existing stormwater pipelines in Peacocke, with pipe sizes ranging from 300 mm to 600 mm.
CCTV inspections identified a mix of issues, including cracked pipes, joints that hadn’t been fully connected, and lateral connections that hadn’t been installed correctly.
Rather than digging up and replacing sections of pipe, the team completed the repairs from inside the existing pipeline using localised liner repairs and top-hat repairs at lateral junctions.
This allowed the team to seal the defects and restore the pipelines to working condition without large-scale excavation.
For this project, that meant a much cleaner approach with less surface disruption, less impact on the surrounding area, and a faster repair process.
What we did
- Repaired 20 defective locations
- Worked across 300 mm to 600 mm stormwater pipelines
- Completed localised liner repairs
- Repaired lateral junctions using top-hat liners
- Fixed cracked pipes, poor joints and incorrectly installed connections
- Completed the work internally with minimal excavation
The result
The affected sections of the stormwater pipeline were repaired and sealed without digging up and replacing the existing network. A targeted trenchless solution that kept above-ground disruption to a minimum.
