The smarter way to repair and protect your pipes
Across Europe, over 90% of urban pipe renewals now use trenchless technologies like UV relining — and New Zealand is catching up fast. With access constraints, dense infrastructure, and rising reinstatement costs, trenchless rehabilitation offers a smarter way forward. Our method reduces traffic impacts (less traffic management), eliminates open trenching, and enables faster, cleaner project delivery.
What is pipe relining?
Recore’s UV-cured glass-fibre liners are engineered for both gravity-flow and pressurised pipelines — including wastewater mains, stormwater drains, manholes and potable water pressure mains. Once installed and cured using ultraviolet light, the result is a seamless structural lining with impressive mechanical strength and chemical resistance. For gravity sewer systems, the design life is up to 100 years. For pressure water mains, current testing supports a design life of 50 years and ongoing validation aims to confirm performance well beyond that.
Whether renewing a deteriorated sewer main or upgrading a live water main under pressure, Recore’s trenchless relining method delivers long-term durability with minimal surface disruption.
Our UV technology cures the liner in place, creating a seamless, long-lasting barrier that:
- Restores the pipe’s integrity
- Improves flow performance
- Prevents leaks, blockages, and root intrusion
- Extends service life by up to 100 years for non-pressured systems and 50 years for pressured systems

CCTV Inspection
Our high-resolution CCTV systems support condition assessments, defect identification, and QA inspections before and after rehabilitation. With pan-and-tilt cameras and structured reporting that meets council expectations, Recore helps asset owners make informed, confident decisions about underground infrastructure.
